Engineered for
Subdermal Drainage

SubPac® wound dressings are precision-engineered as a multi-layer system. Each layer performs a distinct function — working together to draw fluid away from the wound bed, prevent maceration, and create a healing microenvironment.

Outer Barrier Layer
Waterproof, breathable protection from the external environment
1
Superabsorbent Core
High-capacity fluid lock; prevents backflow and lateral spread
2
Subdermal Wicking Layer
Active capillary channels draw exudate from deep wound tunnels
3
Wound-Contact Interface
Non-adherent, atraumatic; conforms to irregular wound geometry

How SubPac® Works

1
Insertion
Woven wicking strips are gently inserted into the incision or wound upon closure.
2
Wicking
Excess exudate and fluids are removed via wicking. PHMB impregnated wicking strips counteract infections.
3
Absorption
The highly absorbent core collects excess fluids. PHMB in the bandage assist with infection-control.
4
Healing
With excess exudate removed and pathogens under control, the wound can heal after the SubPac® dressing is removed.

Outcomes That Matter

Unique Subdermal Fluid Collection
This patented device combines multiple wicking strips which are placed subdermally upon closure with an absorbent external dressing. The removal of excess exudate benefits wound healing.
Day-Two Removal
The SubPac® system is removed on Day-Two post closure. Excess fluids have been collected and the PHMB antimicrobial assists by reducing pathogen colonies and hindering biofilm formation.
Accelerated Healing
By removing excess exudate and introducing PHMB subdermally, SubPac® creates the ideal wound microenvironment for granulation tissue formation and epithelialization. Standard wound treatments are applied, as needed, following removal.
Atraumatic Removal
Non-adherent wound-contact materials ensure pain-free dressing changes, preserving fragile new tissue and supporting positive patient experiences throughout healing.
PHMB Where You Need It
The wicking strips of the SubPac® device are impregnated with 0.2% PHMB, a well-accepted antimicrobial. PHMB is a broad spectrum antimicrobial which also hinders biofilm formation. SubPac® keeps your surgical site clean.
Versatile Application
Designed for chronic wounds, surgical sites, traumatic injuries, and battlefield situations. SubPac® is available in several sizes.
